The ThiEYE uses the 12 MP Sony Sensor, found in many actioncameras, including GoPro Hero 4 black.
On the front side of the camera you will find the Power/Mode button, on top theShutter / Select button.
Currently I’m not sure which type of battery it is, it is not similar in size to otheraction cameras.
Video mode is indicated with the camera icon on the top left of the screen.
Default Mode:You can choose if the camera powers up in video mode or PhotoMode.
Dual File:ON / OFF – besides my selected 4K resolution, the camera also recordsa small 768×432 video.
Auto DVR:This mode has to be switched on when you want to use your cameraas a dash camera.
ATTENTION! the selection is 0 or x. x is accepting an the camera will go back tofactory settings!
Within the camera settings you can edit wifi name & password check theavailable storage space on the SD card or format it.
The packaging of ThiEYE T5 is meant for shops where the camera is on display.
You can compare all specs in my article “Best 4K Action Camera”, here’s a directcomparison to the competitors.
Let’s start with the higher priced cameras GoPro Hero5, YI 4K and SJ7 Star.
YI 4K Action Camera: Yi is almost double the price but also got more to offer.
Compared to the cameras above ThiEYE offers less features at a way lowerprice, so you have to decide if you need them and are willing to pay the extraprice.
For the price and the offered specs ThiEYE T5 is a real 4K camera bargain.
T5 doesn’t have some fancy features introduced with the latest generation ofaction cameras but a way lower price tag.
Compared to similar priced cameras ThiEYE doesn’t come with accessories, but the few ones seem to have a high quality and a second battery is included.
